      Description

When an error occurs at boot (e.g. a Spring configuration error), the exception flies to the servlet container, causing the application not to be deployed. Related logs go to the servlet container, which means that in virtualized environments where you don't control the servlet container you can't see them.

Instead, catch any error at boot so that deployment always goes fine, and then show an HTML error page for any incoming request.
